Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Model Extension for High-Frequency Signal Injection-Based Sensorless Magnet Polarity Detection

In this paper, a novel extended permanent magnet synchronous motor model is presented that incorporates quadratic flux-current function to represent the polarity-dependent saliency. The proposed enables design of sensorless polarity detection algorithms required by initial position motors. novelty it integrates saliency into traditional machine and introduces new parameter, coefficient, specify Hessian matrix function. A measurement method for determination elements coefficient. solution given high-frequency sinusoidal pulsating voltage injection. Experimental results show accurately predicts amplitudes phases second harmonics currents, which are carriers information. This information current measurement-based algorithm using phase difference between fundamental harmonic apparent d-axis current. Both data injection in d-direction optimal detection.
